This has to be one of the most organic sounding Quakes yet.... this beauty has solid mahogany wings and a solid mahogany center neck section sandwiched in eastern, tight grained maple.

The electronics in this bass originally included piezos in addition to the single, passive
Q-tuner. The piezos turned out to be sonically redundant so they were removed and
a true by-pass switch was installed to eliminate all resistence from the signal path.

You have the choice of pure passive volume with treble roll-off, or
straight-to-the-jack, raw Q-tuner power. Pet her and she purrs.
Get aggressive with her and she will bare her teeth.
The finish is a very-thin, clear blonde shellac - the stuff of classical instruments and very fine furniture. There is nearly nothing between you and the wood she is made of.
